Condensing boilers
A modern wall-hung condensing boiler runs at 90 to 95 percent efficiency and takes up a fraction of the space of the cast-iron unit it replaces. It modulates its flame to match the heat the house actually needs, which is why radiator systems feel so steady. We size the boiler to the radiation in the house and set up outdoor reset so it runs cooler, and cheaper, on mild days.
We install and service Viessmann, NTI, Navien, IBC, Lochinvar and Weil-McLain boilers, and we repair the older cast-iron units that are still heating half of Dundas.
Radiant floors, radiators and combi units
We install and repair in-floor radiant loops, zone valves and manifolds, panel and cast-iron radiators, and combination boilers that supply both space heating and domestic hot water from one appliance, which can retire a separate water heater. Bleeding, balancing and purging a hydronic system properly is half the job; we do not leave until every zone heats.
Annual boiler service
A boiler needs the same yearly attention as a furnace: burner and heat exchanger cleaned, combustion analysis, expansion tank and relief valve checked, pumps and zone valves tested, system pressure and water quality confirmed. A boiler that is serviced every fall lasts years longer than one that is not, and the service can be booked alongside a furnace tune-up for homes that have both.
